Terms and Conditions

1. Information about Us

1.1 The following are all trading names for Picturedrome Electric Theatre Co Ltd:- Century Cinema, Plaza Cinema, Carlton Cinema, Maxime Cinema, Picturedrome Cinema, Palace Cinema, Gaumont Cinema and Luxe Cinema.

1.2 The registered address of the Company is Picturedrome Cinema, 51 Canada Grove, Bognor Regis West Sussex, PO21 1DW.

1.3 Company Registration Number is 6165297.

1.4 Vat Number is 904305264.

In these term and conditions, the Company will be referred to as "Picturedrome". 

 

2. Refunds

2.1 Tickets Purchased online, by phone or in person, are non-refundable or exchangeable, unless the Flexible Booking fee has been purchased; or for any reason the performance is cancelled.

2.2 If, for any reason, the performance is cancelled; the whole amount (including the booking fee) will be refunded by the same method which you made the purchase. 

2.3 If you book the wrong product in error, please let us know immediately in order for us to change the booking. If you do not do so within one hour of making the original booking you will not be entitled to a refund.

2.4 If you fail to attend a performance, for whatever reason, you will not be entitled to a refund.

 

3. Charges & Vouchers

3.1 Picturedrome charge a booking fee, of £1.30 per ticket, for all bookings made by phone, web or app. This charge is included in the ticket price displayed on the booking screen.

3.2 Promotional vouchers and discounts, must be redeemed at time of purchase. Some offers are not available for advance bookings so please check the Terms and Conditions applicable to the offer. 

 

4. Age Restrictions

At Picturedrome Cinemas we run a strict age restriction policy and as such you must be prepared to present valid ID if you look under 25.

4.1 If a film is age restricted (12A, 15, 18) whether or not a ticket has been purchased online, all customers must bring recognised photographic identification. If authentic identification cannot be provided when requested, you will not gain entry to the film and your tickets and booking fee may only be refunded at the discrection of the duty manager (as per condition number 2)

Films rated 12A are suitable for children aged 12 and over; however children younger than 12 may watch; so long as they are accompanied by a suitable adult (over 18). The accompanying adult must supervise the child at all times. In such circumstances, responsibility for allowing a child under 12 to view lies with the accompanying adult.

 

Films rated 15 and 18 are suitable for persons of this age and over only; regardless of parental concent or accompaniment.

  • For films rated 15 you must be prepared to present valid ID if you look under 18.

  • For films rated 18 you must be prepared to present valid ID if you look under 21.

Alcohol sales are strictly for over 18's and we operate a challenge 25 policy.
 
We accept the following forms of 'valid ID'

Passports

Driving license

Photographic Student Card (with a clear image and date of birth printed on card)

CitizenCard

Other photographic ID cards; carrying the Pass Hologram

***Parental consent or accompaniment is not a valid form of identification.***

Responsibility for providing suitable identification falls solely with the customer.
If Valid identification cannot be provided, when requested, you will not gain entry to the film and your tickets and booking fee will not be refunded (as per condition number 2)
The final decision with regard to the production of identification; and it's suitability to prove age rests with the Staff of the cinema, and the Companies' decision in this matter is final.

4.2 Babes in arms (Infants, 18 months and under) must be highlighted to the team for licencing and safety purposes, and are admitted on the understanding that the child will sit on the parents / guardians lap. If not, a seat will need to be purchased. 

4.3 Children under 8 years must be accompanied at all times, by an adult 18 years or over, regardless of film certification.

4.4 Children under 12 years must be accompanied at all times after 7pm, by an adult 18 years or over, regardless of performance start time or certification.

4.5 The final decision with regard to the production of identification and it's suitability to prove age rests with our cinema staff, and Picturedrome's decision in this matter is final.

4.6 Responsibility for content classification falls to the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC) in England, Wales & Scotland, and the Irish Film Classification Office (IFCO) in Ireland & Northern Ireland. Individual councils may also issue, over turn or revoke a classification certificate for any performance to be screened in their area. Picturedrome is not responsible for any decision made by these bodies, with regard to films screened in our cinemas, but must adhere to their guidance at all times.

5. Right of Refusal / Removal

5.1 For anyone who is demonstrating acts of anti-social behaviour, Picturedrome reserves the right to refuse admission, or will require that the individual/s leave the premises. This is at the sole discretion of the Duty Manager.

 

Behaviours include (but not limited to):

a)          Any form of physical or verbal aggression towards our staff & customers, or acting in an anti-social way.

b)          Disturbing or disrupting others enjoyment, including the use of mobile devices during the film performance.

c)          If a person/s appears to be intoxicated or under the influence of other drugs. 

d)         Any copyright infringement.

e)         Where there might be a risk of safety to others.

f)          Smoking / Vaping on the premises.

g)         Consuming alcohol that has not been purchased on the premises and infringing licensing law.

h)        Any person or persons considered or found to be participating in social media trends, disturbing or disrupting others enjoyment of the film.

You will not be entitled to a refund (as per condition number 2)

 

6. Data Protection 

6.1 Your data will be held securely by Picturedrome and will not be passed on to any third parties without your express permission.

6.2 Data collected will only be used in accordance with the purpose for which it was collected, and will not be used for any other use than that related to the cinemas.

6.3 Images may be captured for the purpose of public safety, crime prevention, detection and prosecution of offenders in the form of CCTV and Body-Worn cameras.

 

7. Right of Search

7.1 We may need to search customers possessions whilst on the premises; in the interest of safety, security and other reasonable causes. We reserve the right to refuse entry or for customers to leave the premises without entitlement for a refund, if they fail to comply with this request.

 

8. Coronavirus 

Coronavirus (Covid 19) Measures:

8.1 Should a member of our team show symptoms of Coronavirus, we remain cautious and vigilant in asking that they stay away from the cinema.

8.2 If you, or a member of your booking, do show symptoms of Coronavirus, it would be appreciated you do the same, to assist us in keeping our cinemas a safe place for everyone to visit.
